    Quoted from Thrillhouse:

Anyone have any thoughts on what a fair price for an ICE Ice Cold Beer is these days? It's my understanding that the ICE is the less desirable version compared to the Taito.

I found them to be similarly desirable. I owned both versionat one point and the ICE version is the better one. It has better control and 12 holes instead of 10.

    1200-1500 is going rate IME

    Quoted from Thrillhouse:

Any of you ICB owners ever order these belts from marco? The original were orange and these look to be clear. Probably fine but don't want to have to place a 2nd order somewhere else.

those work fine for Tatio version. Not for ICE version.

    Quoted from Thrillhouse:

Why not in ICE, are the pulleys a different size?

different length between pulleys. For ICE you just use the orange windshiel washer tubes. I think Pinball resource still sells them.

cross posting since seems to be 2 threads for ICB

I have a pretty nice ICE ICB version (the one with 2 extra holes; 12 holes total) that I have considered selling or trading recently.

I know the ICE one is more rare, but no idea on current market on these. Thoughts?

    Quoted from jcar302:

the I.C.E version which is less desirable sold for $2700.

I agree with Art. ICE version is the better and more rare, hence it is the more desirable and commands the higher price.

I have seen 20 Taito version. Seen 3 ICE versions.

I will take the one with more challenge, 2 more holes, and better mechs, over the mdf cab and art of the original.

    Quoted from OLDPINGUY:

Tough to tell. Im going to guess both saw around 100 to 150 made of each. I think Taito is closer to 400 ish....just gut feelings with no evidence at all.

I would agree with your gut.

    Quoted from jcar302:

Rare doesn't always mean more valuable.
I follow arcades more closely than pins and IMO zeke's peak is for sale the least.
    Then probably the ICE version.
With that said, I don't think any real collector willing to pay up for a machine would rather have the ICE version.
Just like the real pin collectors that keep pins more than a couple months would rather have an original MM than the remake.
The extra holes do add a little bit to the ICE version, but not enough for most guys to choose it over an original. The ice model just looks all sorts of wrong compared to the original.
Over the years I've had shots at buying both the original and the ICE, never have I seen a zeke's local.
I turned down and ICE version at $900 a few years back, in hindsight financially it was a mistake. But at the time real icb's were selling at $1500 and I would rather have had the taito.
I have nothing against the ice version, it's surely better than nothing, but I seriously doubt the arcade collecting crowd would prefer it over an original taito.

I am admittedly not an arcade guy, but I get contacted at least 1x each month from arcade people asking to buy my ICE version and all offers have been over 2500 for the past year. People love it on route, so I have not sold. I had the tatio version at one point and preferred the nicer built ICE version so I kept it.

Someone really should remake this gamegiven the demand. i know there was a group working on it at one point but it seems to have fallen off.

Off topic, but sine arcade guys seem to be in this thread. I have thought of getting a few of the arcades I used to play as a kid to add to my home collection.

Where would I find paperboy, offroad 3 player, marble madness, and rampage? Maybe a four player gauntler dark legacy also, but as I understand it those loose all fun whne not on coin drop.

How much should I expect to pay for each in nicer, good playing condition.

    Quoted from jcar302:

KLOV forums is always the first place to look for games, you can also make wanted ads. You can find games randomly on craigs, but that's a needle in a haystack.
Paperboy has been absurdly expensive lately for what it is, probably take about $2500 to buy a really nice one. The stupid handlebar control panel sells for like a grand itself. Rumor has it that people are remaking some of the parts (if not all), not sure if that's complete yet.
Marble madness is another popular one, doesn't come up often, will likely cost you $1200-$1500 depending on condition.
Offroad 3 player i'd say is going to be an $650-$850 game (depends on if it has the track pak). I think this one needs to come apart to go through a regular door. Last one I played was already in the guys house and I didn't ask.

    thanks for the info

    Nice pickup!

Anyone have one of these to put next to ICB?

    looks pretty cool

    #107 5 years ago
    Quoted from jcar302:

Someone had an entire lot of fire escapes on klov a few weeks back, if I remember correctly it was 10 of them and a pile of parts.
I thought FE was going to be the next hot game on the list, but it appears the last few have been selling really slowly (or not at all) in the mid upper 1000's.
I'd like to add one, just have to figure out what i'm willing to get rid of to get it.

    looks fun and quirky

any backstory on them? how many were made? will it hold high scores? as challenging as ICB?

I ended up buying a Fire Escape. Looking forward to getting to play it!

hope you donated to the Pinside fees for selling them on here without an advert

    Quoted from jfrazie:

This shows zero bids and it did not sell.
Also I don’t think there’s any way that one sells for $5,000. There’s a very nice one of Facebook groups that has been for sale for a few days at 3500$ by Jason Kopp.
Exidy’s guide is pretty spot on for most games and shows 1800-2500 collector price. I think 2500 is more realistic. KLOV prices tend to support this value.
Not price policing just my .02 as I’ve been casually looking for one for a while.[quoted image]

I think they are north of 2500 currently. I have been offered that a few times for mine. I have zero interest in selling outright but would be happy to work a trade for a rare pinball if anyone somewhat local is interested.

    #199 4 years ago
    Quoted from OLDPINGUY:

Yup, Ive been offered $3500 by several people for my Ice Version....
Wild that I had 3 Taitos from $100-$150 each...no one wanted them 25 years ago.

The ICE version is much better IMHO also. I had both at one time and kept the ICE. Better mechanics with smoother play and two more holes that actually add a little challenge.

    Quoted from OLDPINGUY:

2 in Florida for sale. a Taito, at the Pinball Lounge for $3k, and my Minty Ice Version because Im a pig, is $4k.

    selling both of yours?

I have been thinking of seriously offering my ICE ICB version up in trade. I like oddball pins but would also consider some newer stuff if anyone reading this is local and wants to PM me a trade offer... then feel free. Less inclined to just sell for cash (i know I will never see one again so prefer trade for it), but open to offers of cash also.

Mine is nice but not minty like Art's. Works 100% but does have one or 2 partial digits oddities on score board (been stable the entire few years I have had it). Likely just a connector or needs a reflow to be solidly lit.
