Yeah, not a lotta info on this one.

#3 3 years ago

Working on one for customer. Doesn't go into attract mode. Gives error 0 if any switches are activated.

#4 3 years ago

Hope to add photos of mine when it arrives in a few weeks time. I've purchased new sideart and T-molding to install.

#5 3 years ago

Pinballer73 did you get art from ICE and did you go with original gold molding?

#6 3 years ago

Yes, the art came from ICE to the best of my knowledge, the seller organised it on my behalf. The molding I purchased from here https://www.t-molding.com/gold-t-molding.html

#7 3 years ago

I had one years back. Sold it, really wish I would have kept it.

#8 3 years ago

We bought these new but they were never a winner for us at the coin box. They played pretty good but the original is still a level apart from ICE's version imo.

#9 3 years ago

Original marquee light mine had and what i replaced it with. I kept the original ballast there in case anyone ever want to go back to it. Original bulb was (2G11 compact fluorescent 40W)

Any one know where I can send my boards to be checked?

#12 3 years ago

jpinb - Did you ask ICE also maybe TNT Amusements? If you find an answer please post it back here.

#13 3 years ago

ICE certainly services their PCBs. I've used them for NBA Hoops boards.

Ice doesn't repair I c b boards, said no longer have test equipment for them. No longer supported.

#16 3 years ago

What problem are you having jpinb

#17 3 years ago

Game shows error "0" , which isn't listed in service manual. Never goes into attract mode. Gives the error after activating any of the buttons, joystick, or coin switch. Thanks for any help trying to fix for a customer.

#18 3 years ago

Guessing it goes through the startup process
Fine and you compared it to my dip settings. Also check or reseat all connections. After the error can you play or its just frozen?

#19 3 years ago

You are determining error by the score value? Mine runs through startup verification with a 0 there. Could be you just are not passing startup requirements. Up and down bounds of each arm plus the holes and display.

#20 3 years ago

Plays music shows 0 on display when booting then goes to error. Activating arm switches during boot gives appropriate error

jpinb Hmm ok I recorded this for you in case it helps. I feel like it's a startup check issue. Did you replace the handles on that game?

How's yours doing?

#23 3 years ago

Trizel, thanks for video. Mine not making through start up. Will check hole optos again.

#24 3 years ago

Just a heads up, but I fixed my second icb. Game wouldn't boot. The cmos battery voltage was being pulled down to below 1v. It ended up being the sound chip, its a large 40 pin or so chip tht says winbound. Both my games had a sticker over it so they could mark the date probably for warranty purposes.

#25 3 years ago

Got mine running, broken wire in ribbon cable pin 1.

Just picked one of these up and super stoked to join the club. However, I have noticed that as soon as you add a credit it starts a game opposed to requiring you to press start. Also, if you have multiple credits it will automatically start the next game. I did see how you may be able to change this. Does anybody know if this is normal?

#27 3 years ago

That's what the one I worked on did. Only time start switch light came on was when the ball switch was out of adjustment, then you would have to press start button.

I don't think I recall being able to change this. I wired one of the buttons on the top to add a credit, so it essentially became the start button.

#29 3 years ago

Thanks! I was thinking this may just be the normal. I can see how it is advantageous for the operator. After moving my game I realized that the board was not secured. Thankfully nothing was damaged. It appears that the board is just a hair too big to be secured in the control panel via the screw holes that are in there. Has anybody else come across this or have any recommendations on how to secure it?

#30 3 years ago

TikiTilt the game does start after coin up. If you are in the middle of a game and have extra credits remaining the right cp button lights up. This is atleast how mine works with continue enabled. This could be dip switch setting dependant. Welcome to the group feel free to ask questions and share your findings for future owners.

I'm looking for another set of boards for my I.C.E. ICB , I suspect they need some serious work, long story. I had contacted I.C.E. over a year ago, and they couldn't help me. Mine might be able to be fixed by a professional. Can anyone help?

#34 3 years ago

What problem are you having? Any error codes?

#35 3 years ago

I recently was able to purchase a non working machine. With the help of my brother we got it going! I am looking forward a new playfield. Mine has come delaminated in many spots and bubbled up. It is causing some problems with the bar hitting the bubbles when going up and down the playfield. Does anybody know where to purchase a new playfield? Or does anyone have the artwork that I could get a copy and try to find a printer to print it. I imagine it would be difficult cutting out all the holes but worth the try. Thanks for your time, John

#36 3 years ago

Hey John congrats but sorry to hear about your playfield. Even though this game was produced in 2003 parts of any kind are pretty rare. Do to lack of interest it seems few to no one has made any repro parts. But you never know best of luck.

#37 3 years ago

Yeah, I contacted innovative concepts manufacturer and they just replied that they don’t have any parts. Not sure what to do here. I guess I will try to use razor blade to cut the bubbles and glue them down. I really appreciate your response.

#38 3 years ago

Hi I'm hoping someone might be kind enough to post some pics of their mpu (one under the joysticks). I was doing some board work and when I picked the board off the table I found this stray resistor laying on the bench. I'm not 100% this came off my board as this is a community work bench but I don't want to turn on my game until I'm sure. My jumper resistor is still in place on U6 topside but not sure if there is another point that has one on the front or back. Here's some pics of what I have now, the stray resistor is gold red black brown. Appreciate the help.

Hey, excited to have just joined this club!

Recognizing there aren’t a lot of parts available for this awesome game, what do you guys suggest for general maintenance besides keeping optos clean?

Thanks

#44 2 years ago

Welcome! Just play it and tighten belts as needed I guess.

Anyone know how to adjust the volume? Thanks

#46 2 years ago

Open bottom right door, for me it's the ticket dispenser and there's a potentiometer (knob) just up to the right.

Thank you sir!

Hello folks,

Once you sink the 12th hole does the game always end? I know on the Taito version you can keep going and start over. Not sure if this is an error or a setting feature. I was on a continued credit (not in one credit) so that may have something to do with it. Thanks!

#49 2 years ago

I'm pretty sure it just ends sadly. If you really wanted to see you could remove the glass and manually drop the ball in all of the holes to see.

2 weeks later
#50 2 years ago

Just picked one of these up. Really enjoying the game it's just unfortunate you can't add credits and start the game when ready. I did remove the continue's so at least we aren't waiting 10 seconds for the game to reset.

Is it possible to erase high scores? If so, how do I reset those?
