I don't want the IBTL but figured what better way to give someone else the chance !
This is a fantastic forum for serious IBTL concerns.
I don't think the mods fully understood the moral hazards of breaking the public trust, not just once (which would be forgivable), but repeatedly. The stress of uncertainty is clearly taking a toll - Pinsiders being driven to drinking; sleep disruption and deprivation is common. Impacts on work and family are clearly documented. This thread aims to extend our understanding of the impact of management practises and IBTL thread conditions on personal well being, in the contemporary workplace, and on the broader Pinside and social realm.
The discussion here should provide an analytic account of IBTL impact on the social well-being of a representative sample of individuals and households. We assess the propensity of IBTL arrangements that are manifested in various IBTL performance systems either to enhance or to diminish quality of life. Initial exploratory study indicates that IBTL management practises and conditions have impacts that extend beyond the workplace and influence the broader well-being of ALL pinsiders, as clearly documented and mentioned above...
Quoted from DK:Explain the IBTL thing plz
THink the most recent obsession is to get a Pinside achievement; but some peeps are super into it at a creepy level. Pinside very rarely locks threads; but you wouldn't think it with all thee posts
Quoted from poppapin:IBTL II? Then what III, IV, V? When will it stop?
Hopefully right now.
I’ve been following this thread with very little interest. What I’ve noticed so far …..
Pinside has a tried and true process for closing a thread. It is as follows: when a thread’s creator requests a thread be closed, then a moderator closes it. Until then a thread remains open for business.
.
Op created a tread about locking same thread.
.
Op has not requested the thread be closed.
.
Thread is still open.
.
Glad I’m IBTL
Quoted from chris_p:Gotta admit, IBTL managed to normalize what sounds INSANE outside that thread. IATL? That doesn't make sense! But there we are, actually considering this it as a possible award. And in IBTL context, it makes good sense!

I think everybody else should use IBTL2, BUT the first person in following a lock is the true FAIL in life. Congratulations. You FAIL.
Quoted from Gotpins:This is the real deal, OG, original, classic IBTL!
Quoted from Electrocute:Here we go again, long live Disco! Oops, wrong thread but deserving none the less.
