I think MacGyver would be cool.

You have to jerry rig your machine to play properly in an allotted amount of time- comes with a kit.

A modern drag racing themed pin.
    An updated Nitro Ground Shaker.
Maybe even get John Force and his daughters on the translight.

I've always thought of Junkyard as the MacGuyver pin - collect everyday items to build devices and defeat the bad guy.

    JAWS.
Stern keeps the theme in their back pocket.
Maybe someday everything will be worked out with Universal for licensing.
I would buy the game, if it extremely similar to the proposal I offered.
No "preordering" on my behalf however, even if it was a "Extra Super Deluxe Limited Edition".

    F-Zero

I mean.. F-Zero makes so much sense as a pin. Awesome music and some cool things you can do with the rules.

sure you don't mean wipeout on ps1? It had better music.. heck, I think I remember they included a CD with just the music

A Jaws type theme would be the ultimate 70s throwback

    North by Northwest.

There could be a mini Mount Rushmore on the playfield, as well as a crop duster, train, United Nations building, great music, Technicolor graphics, a Hitch cameo, Cary Grant on the backglass, and much more. With so many Hitchcock masterpieces to choose from it's a real shame none of them have never been the theme of a pinball machine.

One part of your idea for a design is already on a playfield. Mini Mount Rushmore on TimeShock! Basically, a WH20 mountain covering the entire backside of the game.

My prediction for Dialed In was a little off - I was guessing it'd be a little more cyberpunky, with an in-game Siri-esque voice either assisting you or battling you (from the "Killer App" license). But the stuff I was thinking about would fit super nicely with Max Headroom. The art could be a throw-back to the 80s, and feature a holographic talking-head Max in a two-way screen at the back of the playfield. Maybe he enlists you to help bring down the fascistic consumerist overlords ("ca-ca-ca-catch the wave!") that have essentially taken him hostage, so the modes are based around blowing up Coca Cola's headquarters and stuff like that.

Eventually, you discover that Max's ultimate plan is to convert all technologically linked-in humans to digital form and set off all the nuclear bombs in the world, and then lord it up over them like the computer in Ellison's "I Have No Mouth", so naturally you have to work against him while he turns the tables on you, activating magnets and raising ramps by detecting where the ball is while mocking you. If you defeat him, you see a little animation of an idyllic society full of people drinking Coke or something, and one of them is Max Headroom. He winks at you, or says a quip or something, and the game glitches and re-sets, this time with a slightly different, tougher ruleset.

If you lose, maybe the game takes a picture of you and shows you trapped in cyberspace or something like that, idk. The match game could be a guy watching a blipvert and exploding, and his splattered guts form a number.

I think Conan the Barbarian would be a great theme.
You could even have themed LEs like Kull and Solomon Kane.
Lots of art to pick from aswell.

+1 Mad Max. May wind up homebrewing one soon.

Just me and my fuzzy yarbles. Hmm, there's a Hardbody down here looking for a retheme idea. I'm picturing a very stark, white and bleak base. The ramps that lift could be the bum in the alleyway, and each color bank one of the droogs. Hmmm. Lots more ideas to sleep on.

Pee Wee Herman! New movie coming out and tons of past material to draw on. The toys, the call-outs, the graphics, this could really be a GREAT machine.

Totally agree with this. A huge hit honestly.

    Led Zeppelin

As mentioned above, Conan The Barbarian with old school comic art would be kick ass!
Megadeth and lots of Vic Rattlehead art.
    Mad Max Fury Road.
Cheech & Chongs Up In Smoke, "Wanna get high".

Yes! Lots of good ideas for this game. Would be perfect for Spooky and hopefully a fairly cheap license. Though I'm a bit biased as it's probably my #2 dream theme behind Alien... which is admittedly looking pretty iffy

    #391 1 year ago

    "Good Star Wars" pin

    #392 1 year ago

All of my SF themes have been mentioned:
    Blade Runner
    Fifth Element
Battlestar Galactica, I would prefer the original series.

    Non-SF

A Sherlock or Breaking Bad pin would be nice

    Quoted from JerryB:

    Real Genius - It's a moral imperative

"Would you be prepared if gravity reversed itself?"
"Hey Lazlo! wanna see a demonstration of gravity?! YES!!"
"Let's take a step backwards.. No I'm sorry let's take a step forward, and then we take a step backwards, and now we're doing the cha-cha"

    #398 1 year ago

Fifth Element could be a great pin, "Multipass Multiball" get the 4 stones, some good action, sounds, humour and grand wizard mode be the fifth element.

    #399 1 year ago

I'd have to say OZZY. You could have bite the head off the bat mode, crazy train and a bunch of incoherent callouts

    #400 1 year ago

Sharon can you blah blah blah blah blah?!

I should have bought a squirrel.
