Quoted from RockBass14:I have a WPC Demo Man. I've been working on fixing it up the last couple of weeks. My last task was to fix a light socket that wasn't working for whatever reason. But before I was able to get to that the upper flipper stopped working. I lifted up the play field and found a broken solder. I soldered it back up and got her all fixed up. While I was under there I wanted to check the power to the socket that wasn't working. I turned it on to make sure power was getting to the socket, but didn't have a good angle to test it, so I unscrewed it, it fell out and touched a small part of metal on the lower left flipper, a small spark popped and now It doesn't work anymore. So, since this is my first real screw up, I'm wondering, is it fried and needs a new motor or are there other things I can check? If you think it's toast what part am I looking for, specifically to get it up and running again?
Thanks!
Check the fuses. If they did the job they are supposed to do they saved you.
I'm not going to give you specifics. Search and read. Checking a fuse and using a DMM (Digital Multi Meter) is 101 classes and under $20 at Harbor Fright.
