Bally, 1976I have a cabinet from 1976 that I sanded bare. There is a greenish tint on both sides of the cabinet. You can see how the wood should normally look, on the bottom there. Is there a special primer I am supposed to use, or is this discoloration a non-issue and I can use regular primer? What do you guys think?

In fact, poplar is popular! Uses include furniture and cabinets. It is an inexpensive hardwood.

Yes it's a favorite because it takes stain pretty evenly with little prep and paints up very nicely and is one of the softer of hardwoods.
