I haven't heard anyone yet mention FIRE! by Williams from 1987 when they talk about the Starchild area. Fire! features slings on each side of the center ladder shot with a 3bank of standups that get completed by the random slingshot action. This is the same concept but seems to have a little kickout hole in there, too.
