Rehome gf.

You’ll be sick of
Her shit in just a few months anyways and you’ll regret dumping your buddies.

Shitty attitude dude.

Here's the thing about cats and your "not being around": the cats likely don't care too much.

They've been with you in that environment for 7 years and are quite used to it.

I kinda think your excuses are lame.

You probably shouldn't adopt pets again after this.

Quoted from too-many-pins:

But OP needs to do what is right for him at this point in life.

This mentality is flawed when it comes to pet ownership though and is quite a slippery slope.

When you adopt a cat or dog, it should be a commitment.

At least OP seems genuine in really trying to find a good home.

Something to consider too, as you stated that you and the gf are wanting to move in together:

A LOT of times couples have great relationships, then go and move in together, where it all implodes.

Maybe a good solution would be to allow her to move in, keeping the cats, and trying to work with an allergist?

THEN reconsider rehoming. AND only after you are still living happily together AND she cannot get over the allergy thing.

Quoted from TheLaw:

Awesome! You can look forward to crying & watching this whilst your GF explains to you exactly the correct way to clean the house in mind numbing fucking detail.

Dude keep the cats for Pete’s sake.

Quoted from tommyp:

Guess where my wife is? Not my wife anymore.

Been there done that. Twice. AND with the same evil twat.

Through it all, the cats remained. She took the dog without me getting to even say good bye.

I’ve been thru some really really low dark points in my life bc of this woman. Sometimes to the point I didn’t know if I’d make it. The cats always kept a smile on my face.

Keep your cats man.

I’d love to know if the “gf” is still around

Cats/dogs > gf.

Quoted from vicjw66:

GF dumped his ass. He’s now looking to buy a couple new cats to fill the void until he can find a new GF.

Should’nt be allowed to own more pets.
