So I've been out of this for a while now, I just had to take a break from it. At this point, I don't even own a single pin.... That said, I'm helping a friend fix his Medieval Madness (original, not the new one) his display just stopped working. I'm assuming that the display (original) just went out. I checked and there is power to the display and all of the fuses check good as well. On this game is there anything else that would cause the display to stop working?

Also, I was wondering if anyone still has or sells the color LCD screens to replace these with? I'm looking for an easy "plug-and-play" device, I don't want to get into a ton of extra work. I found the direct LED replacements but just thought I'd ask about the LCD's before proceeding. Thanks for any assistance. -Dave

Quoted from LTG:

On the DMD. The pins the big connector plugs onto, are their solder joints still good ?
LTG : )

Yes, everything looks fine. No bad connections or cold solder joints.

Quoted from CaptainNeo:

nobody close that has a WPC95 game you can swap displays and ribbon cables with for a second to see if that's the direction you need to go?

I wish. My friend has the game at their beach house and they are now gone for the winter. My plan was to get everything together and be ready to work on it when they get back. Everything else on the game works perfectly, just no display. It acts like it's not getting power but like I said, I get power at the pins. Is there and aftermarket board for this? I know the new displays don't require the high voltage but if there was an upgraded board I'm sure he would want to invest in it. Thanks again.

I agree with you guys on the coast vs what you get. However, the owner loves this game and will most likely never sell it. Also, a few hundred bucks here or there to make his game look cool is nothing to him. If it were me I'd go the "original" or at the most and LED DMD in one color but then again, I don't own a beach house.....
