I really like Lego.

We just finished the Disney train set.

Quoted from gliebig:

It was more fun then. You'd build something, break it down and build something again...and again. Now it's buy a kit, build following directions and never touch it again.

That's not true, at least for me and my family. We have way too many sets to display them all, so we have 5 very large totes full of loose bricks from all the torn apart sets. We routinely dump a tote on the den floor and play for a few hours making space ships and houses and stuff.

I recently sold a pin and decided to use some of the cash to treat myself to the large Millenium Falcon. I'm really looking forward to building it

Take your time... enjoy the journey. Don't feel pressure to finish as much as you can in a session, etc. It's no race
Biggest need for the falcon is a display stand! I have one like this and love it - https://www.wickedbrick.com/products/display-stand-for-ucs-millennium-falcon-75192

Awesome! I have been looking for a good stand for it. I have a few hundred sets, but the vast majority of them are small enough to be shown off in my display cabinets. I was wondering what to do with the Falcon. I've seen a couple wall mounts also that look nice.

My family loves Legos too. Here is our 9 ft tall (with whip) Dr. Jones. Don't need to worry about a display shelf if it's big enough.

That's amazing!!! Did you all build that?!?

Quoted from marioparty34:

I wish I could build something like that. I received it as a gift from Lego CEO about 10 years ago. The funny thing is when I first met him, he handed me his 'business card' which was a lego of himself. It blew my mind at the time.

Damn, that's super cool!

I know the best place to buy them if you want to know

I'd love to know

Quoted from ChrisBardon:

Started into building the new AT-AT this weekend, and it's huge! Got up to assembling the legs. There's some brilliant stuff here with gears holding the legs rigid, but using an adjustment tool to change the position for display:

It looks so great, though I think price wise it's where I would rather have it cost $100 more if it had been motorized to some extent, or had the option to buy an add on.
