Like Revell kits without the glue. My son loves the Lego sets, did 3 in one day last week. Expensive hobby though be careful of those. Oh wait...
Looks good. Lego's aren't my thing but I have too many hobbies to count. Makes life fun, and cluttered, to have hobbies.
If that's true, you need to get your hobbyist verbiage right: It's either "Lego" or "Lego Bricks"; never "Legos". Carry on.
I enjoy building with Legos. It's something I can do with my girls. I have mine from when I was a child, plus new ones which I pass off as being for my girls. This year "they" really wanted the Black Seas Buccaneer which just happened to be my dream set when I was seven.

Old habits die hard, sorry.

Learned something today
I guess I have a little bit of an interest

Oh yeah, you have the bug.
Quoted from jhanley:I'm getting a Milleneum Falcon next.
Have you seen the imperial destroyer? It’s a monster!! And $700

Yes, I can't see myself buying a set for that much. My wife would freak.
Quoted from jayhawkai:Hmmm, car thread or Lego thread...[quoted image]
maybe the garden hose thread
Quoted from jhanley:Yes, I can't see myself buying a set for that much. My wife would freak.
I wouldn’t do it either. I’d rather get 4 or 5 nice sets for that amount
Legos are cool!
Now if someone sold a kit to build your own pinball, I think that would be cool. But the instructions would be one large file!
I can relate to stepping on one in the dark. Ouch
My son growing up loved them and he’s 31 now and still does. His wife brought him some LEGO kit for Christmas. I never tried them myself but I watched something about them and I could be wrong but I think they are the most successful toy ever
Lego Facts
1. LEGO got its name when the founder, Ole Kirk Christiansen, took the first two letters of the Danish words LEG GODT, meaning “play well”, and put them together – quite unaware that LEGO in Latin means ... “I put together”.
2. Approximately 20 billion LEGO elements (bricks) are made every year in the LEGO factory in Billund – equivalent to approximately 2 million elements an hour or 35,000 a minute.
3. The moulds used in production are accurate to within two-thousandth of a millimeter (0.002 mm), and the accuracy of the moulding process means that only 18 elements in every million produced fail to meet the company’s high quality standard.
4. A professor of mathematics calculated that there are over 915 million ways to combine six LEGO bricks.
5. Laid end to end, the number of LEGO bricks sold in a year would reach more than five times round the world.
6. On average there are 62 LEGO bricks for every person on earth.
7. The world’s children spend 5 billion hours a year playing with LEGO bricks.
8. With a production of about 306 million tyres a year, the LEGO Group is the world’s largest tyre (tire) manufacturer.
9. Approximately 440 billion LEGO elements have been manufactured since 1949.
10. When the minifigure first appeared, it was decided that its face should have only one colour: yellow and that its facial features should be happy and neutral. Now the minifigure appears in many guises, including Santa Claus, Spiderman and even Steven Spielberg.
11. There has been approximately 4 billion minifigures produced – making it the world’s biggest population group.
12. LEGO group is owned and managed by the founder’s grandson, Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen – with his children.
13. There are about 2,350 different elements in the LEGO range – plus 52 different LEGO colours. Each element may be sold in a wide variety of different colours and decorations, bringing the total number of active combinations to more than 7,000.

Legos are bad ass. I’ve built a BUNCH with my son (now 7). Primarily LEGO movie sets, Batman sets, Star Wars, and Jurassic world. He loves tinkering with them and making his own inventions. I got him the LEGO advent calendar for December. He absolutely loved it.
Only thing we need now is a LEGO themed pinball!
Quoted from Eskaybee:Only thing we need now is a LEGO themed pinball!
Quoted from jhanley:I'm getting a Milleneum Falcon next.
I have the Millenium Falcon, the big collector one they re released. 7500 pieces, pricy but that thing is as incredible to build as it is to watch.
Too bad my son decided that Darth Vader threw a giant bomb in it so it exploded in a million pieces ! Its back in its box Ill wait for my son to go to College and build it again.
Quoted from BoJo:I never was into them but when I seen this one I had to grab it.[quoted image]
Voltron was awesome!
I've helped my daughter build a dozen Lego friends kits. Nothing like some quality time with the kids. Almost bought her the Ghost Busters fire house one but it was over $300.

That's a badass set!
My cousin had one growing up, I looked into getting one for myself a couple years ago. The price quickly changed my mind
Quoted from audihere:Wow, you have some of the rare sets!
Are those sets? They look like custom pieces to me.
I frequently travel to Denmark for business. Was there in December and took a tour through the “official” store in downtown Copenhagen. Greeted by a giant two story Lego mural and a Lego dragon. In the back where some 1 to 1 scale SW characters. Well the stormtrooper was a little short - perhaps more like a medieval times knight...

Get the big one. Trust me.
Quoted from BudManPinFan:Are those sets? They look like custom pieces to me.
My wife has some rare sets that are out of production, and some custom ones. Like this Hedwig from Harry Potter. I think LEGO did a Limited Edition with Target that was limited to one per customer in the store. She couldn’t get one, so she built one herself...

the new creator bookshop looks good
Quoted from pintechev:Get the big one. Trust me.
Yeah, but that’s in the $800 range. He said his wife would tear his nuts off if he spent that on legos
Quoted from PopBumperPete:the new creator bookshop looks good
I just saw that today on the catalog they sent me. I want it. I still need to get assembly square and the corner garage. I also want the fish shack badly but it’s retired and I’m not about get gouged by some asshole selling their used one at astronomical bucks.
