Anyone who knows me at all knows that I'm a rabid purist when it comes to originality. That being said, I am not strongly opposed to modifications which aren't easily reversible. How easily reversible is this? Well, as long as I have both games, I can switch them back, but I think each of these games look WAY better in each other's cabinets.
I'd feel a little better about this swap if the cabinets were from the same era, but they do have a few minor structural differences.
I recently acquired a Gottlieb "Gypsy Queen". I've had this "Guys Dolls" for about a year, and although it does play, the backglass is trashed, and the only thing I like about it is the cabinet.
I looked at both games, and wanted to see what they would look like in each other's cabinets. I think I like it!
    What say you?

    Ask Steve Young at PBR!

I sent my brother photos. He was working at PBR tonight and may have shown them to Steve. So far, he hasn't called me and torn my head off!

    Some more full-on photos.
I think this is a no-brainer. They both look much better this way. What do you think?

Hmm. I'm thinking about shopping the "Guys Dolls", getting a new glass, and bringing it to the Pinfest show for free play and sale. I really love it's original cabinet, so I really think I'm going to keep it for the "Gypsy Queen". OH, SACRILEGE!!!

Most definitely the best thing about "Guys Dolls" is the cabinet art. I think it's very attractive.

Are you bringing Gypsy Queen to Allentown?

    Probably not.
