I just installed my Color DMD and wanted to take my TAF for some runs. Well this happened on ball 1. Nothing to do with the install but got me thinking where have others gotten their balls stuck? Pics are a must.

Tron Disk action

#7 11 years ago

No pic but the most annoying for me is on the right disk on ww my ball can get stuck between the edge of the spinner disk and the side rail. Ball search doesn't free it unless you shake the cab at the same time

here, or so I'm told.

On my HS. First ball on the first game after having it down due to gremlins (which have seriously infected my HS!)

Had this happen when playing an Iron Man on site a while back. Iron Monger's got steel balls!

It took me a few minutes to locate this one. It was during a 4 ball multi ball.

Had to take care of this a few nights ago.

It wasn't actually from game play. There were two locked balls when a game ended. When it released them, they did their best 'Three (two?) Stooges & a doorway impression'. It definitely warranted a photo.

General Yagov kickback did this. Was a pain in the ass to get out because when i started to slide the glass the ball would roll with it and get wedged more.

Here is the pic.

I've actually done that on my F-14. Usually it just goes over the front on the apron and in the shooter lane. I moved mine to the lowest setting.

In the mixmaster. There is also a few other spots but they haven't popped up lately

How about on the edge of mylar.

IMG_1239.jpgIMG_1239.jpg

#34 11 years ago

No pics because I'm at work, but on my TAF, I get that one behind the left sling rubber and, more often than that, the launch and landing behind the upper leaf switch and/or the flasher dome on the bear kick ramp. It happens so often that I'm going to teach my brother proper glass removal technique so if he comes over to my place to play while I'm gone, I'll feel safe with him removing the glass and not shaking the machine apart to get it down.

Quite possible... air ball wedged between the top of the flipper and the glass. Big bang and WTF..

Scriptpirate.

#37 11 years ago

AFM and HS I have had the same things as pictured above. Ball did not stick but last night on RBION I shot the left ramp so hard that when it returned to the inlane it did not fall in the hole but instead went halfway up the wire form to the right just past the B in ABC for playfield bonus then came back and fell in the hole. This is probably the farthest I have ever had a ball travel after a quick flipper return.

Same thing happened alot on my TRON LE. Ball gets wedged behind drop targets and the rubber ring.

Yep, MrWizzo was playing my Card Whiz and the same thing happened. I think he snapped a picture with his phone.

No pic, but on AFM as the target bank went down I caught the very last edge, launched up and into the mothership. booyah!

Ball stuck on woz...

Wedged to the point the glass would not slide out. We had to pull TZ away from the wall so we could lift up the front and shake the ball loose. 12+ yrs, 10,000+ games played and this is by far the craziest place the ball ever landed.

Here is a place it has stuck a few times...

Embryon. Right side captive ball target. The ball must have had a hell of a topspin on it to make it over the metal rails. Then the drop target popped up. Had to use a magnet to get it out of there.
