Quoted from Frax:

It's impossible for anyone to make a judgement call here since we have no idea what the post was about.
That said....
Why in the f--k is any part of IFPA trolling people's social media? It's (last I checked) literally forbidden for anyone to be banned from an IFPA tournament for pretty much anything other than bad behavior(cursing, harassment of others, any threats at all, machine abuse etc) at an event. Open events have to be....open.....or it's not a fair competitive environment, it's just a couple of assholes point farming amongst themselves. That was the entire reason they stopped scoring tournaments under X number of people, or why you can't have a "league" of 2 people.
Also...what kind of absolute garbage are you reposing that Colin went after you? The guy hates my guts, and hasn't ever gone to that length to bar me from anything? I can't speak for vendor space, as I've never had a reason to get a spot for that, but I don't *think* Ed or Colin would really have any legitimate reason to bar me from doing so if I really wanted to, and I don't really "get along" with either of them. *scratch head*
From the IFPA page:
Q: How does an event become endorsed by the IFPA, and eligible to award World Pinball Player Rankings points?
A: The IFPA only recognizes open divisions of play to be included in the World Pinball Player Rankings. If certain players are prohibited from playing based on age, gender, skill or personal reasons, those results will not be counted.
Like...you can't bar someone from a ranked tournament just because you disagree with their politics, for example. Believe me...there's a lot of people I would block out if that was not the case.

I’m willing to bet that it wasn’t political or “racist/sexist”
If it was 7 months ago it was probably a post about the tournament/IFPA moratorium and critical of their pandemic-related decision and thus chapped someone’s ass.

Anything else would be ridiculous, but I know a lot of people were frustrated with the 18 month hiatus of tournaments, and being critical of IFPA will probably get you kicked out.

Those hardcore competitive players are really into themselves and their points lol

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I highly doubt that. If you think IFPA is that sensitive you haven't been paying attention.
Remember that 3 month period where Whysnow was relentlessly trolling the IFPA Kingpins due to $1 per player fee, going after siblings, trying all manner of things to get a reaction, and elicited only smiles? The IFPA guys do not give a shit, and are basically untrollable.
This is not what happened here, and it seems a little cheap to be making up scenarios so you can somehow blame this on the "snowflake" tendencies of IFPA management or alleged smugness of competitive players. If somebody really got banned from TPF it likely had nothing to do with criticizing our IFPA overlords or not taking competitive pinball seriously enough. It was probably something horrific in any number of ways that have nothing to do with pinball.

Untrollable?? I highly doubt that.
No, I don’t know of Whysnows shenanigans because I’m not president of his fan club. Where would I find the time since I already run the Upstate chapter of yours Levi.

I hope this topic gets moved to the basement and the photo gets posted so this thread really pops off!

This is the edited photo that was provided as proof.[quoted image]

This is a weak-ass boomer meme. You are kidding me.

Time to cancel all the LGBT people who have made this joke about themselves.

Quoted from Venetic:

This is some hilarious gaslighting. You should share with folks the exact words you said to people at houston arcade expo that got you in trouble at that event, i'm guessing that's probably why you actually got banned ¯\_(?)_/¯

If you know you should share since OP left it out.
The plot thickens.
However his picture proves they used this in justifying it. Why not just mention this alleged prior offense if it was that bad. Why rely on a meme?

Quoted from LovelyCoCoNuts:

That there are state registered child sex offenders in the Corpus Christi community that operate arcades?
Or that the furry community also operates an arcade? Because the furries have youtube videos with the arcade name in it and obviously have no issue with that.

As a furry; this has raged on for a long time. I’ve worked with some convention directors to ban sex predators. Due to the nature of the hobby, it’s difficult to keep them out because they could merely pretend to be someone else and wear their suit.
Yes, you could then ban their associates but that gets messy fast. It’s unfortunate, and pinball also suffers from certain operators who are sex offenders and they get a pass. Repugnant.

I’m saddened to hear that one of the few furries who is in pinball is also a sex offender.
The community really does not help itself at all!

Quoted from Venetic:

He got in trouble on the bat city group for calling all furries pedos, for example. I am fairly certain the ban was because of his negative sexual slangs he used at houston arcade expo, but I can't verify if that is the case, just a best guess since it would fit with violations of harassing people at an event with IFPA involvement.

Bummer.
Furries and pinball have more in common than most think:
•Must spend obscene amounts of money of luxury items that have no practical function.
•Comprised mainly of man-children with too much money
•Endless measuring contests about who has what, which maker/manufacturer is THE BEST
•Obsessed with exclusivity and gets duped by people who take massive preorders and never ever deliver.
•The Public doesn’t understand the hobby and thinks they members are weird and waste all their money
