It all started with that out of place family owned fireball home model I used to play as a kid.

God i just fckn love pinball! Thats how im spelling fckn from now on! Lol

Over the last few months, I got laid off and spiraled into a pretty serious depression that I'm only now starting to (barely) get a grip on. One of the few things that makes me wanna get up and out of bed each day is knowing that there's plenty of pinball out there to play.

Thank god I'm not that old. The earliest I remember is 10 cent games.

As a teen I chatted with the guy that had a local route and was amazed at the cost of a machine relative to my bag-boy wage, never thought any more of it. The big arcades came and went with every quarter I had - never thought those machines could have been had. Became a big shopper on ebay and craigs when they were new -- never thought about looking for pinball machines - stupid stupid stupid!!! Now I have two good EM's and three projects. Life is SO much better. Can't measure the joy.

I Fck'n love pinball! Can I join the club?

I Fck'n love pinball. Played a lot as a kid in the bowling alleys. Later in life hooked up with a chick who's step dad had one. Instantly hooked again. We broke up over it. She said I was hanging with her dad to much and that pinball was ruining the relationship. Haha glad that she moved on!!!!! Now I got same pinball machine and two more and the new woman loves it as much as I do. SCORE!!!!

For me pinball is a great escape from reality when I can tune out everything else and just chill

It is a Awesome hobby. I love playing as much as I love fixing them! More enjoyment for everyone! Because if it was hot rods, no one would drive them but me!!!!!!!!!

This is on my gameroom website, just so (the non-pinball) people know where it all started:

'It all began in 1965 when at the tender age of 8, I was taken along by my Mother when she visited some friends who had a pinball game and a Coke machine in their family room – a very hip thing back in 'the Day.'

I can still recall that as we left the house, I tugged on her coat sleeve and exclaimed, "... Some day Mom, I'm gonna have a house with a room just like THAT!"

In the late '60s and early '70s my parents were big into league bowling. What better place than Lincoln Lanes, to stand around and watch the action? Our local bowling alley had a pinball machine and that cool Coca-Cola Vendo machine that dispensed drinks in little triangular paper cups for 15 cents.

Bowling? Is there bowling going on in this place? Funny, I hadn't noticed.

"Can I have another quarter, Dad?"

A few years after graduating college, my Mother made the tragic mistake of asking what I wanted for Christmas. Without any hesitation, "A pinball machine!" came from my mouth.

So off we went to see her high school classmate who happened to be the local coin-op amusement tycoon. After 2 hours of looking over more 300 machines, I selected a 1977 Williams 'Big Deal' four player electro-mechanical (EM) game – for the unforgettable price of $200.

The day it arrived was like Christmas. I couldn't wait to get home from work to find a real live pinball machine in my very own apartment. I was like Ralphie with his Red Rider BB Gun!'

Funny - it STILL feels that same way - that feeling that ONLY a fellow pinhead knows - that in your own house you can walk in, turn it on and play a game anytime you want!

That's really nice - but may I make a suggestion?
Make the 'FCKN' huge in ALL CAPS and position that at about a 8AM-2PM angle across the middle, with the 'I' above the huge 'FCKN' and the words 'Love Pinball' just under it.

Just my suggestion - afterall - its about more than pinball love - this is about pinball LUST!!
