You sign up, announce that you're making a new pinball machine and taking pre-orders. Then you collect a million dollars from desperate old suckers who want to be the first to have the Next Shiny Thing. The last step is disappearing with their money. Hope that helps.

    Quite a true story actually.

    True enough but uncalled for.
rafealsivar Pinside has a wealth of knowledge combined from Pinsiders helping and technical topics that help repair or bullet proof just about any type of machine you can think of. Enjoy looking around and hope you make some new friends.

So as you move around the site you will find a wealth of knowledge in Pinside. The designer, Robin, has spent a vast amount of time adding features to help navigate and learn all about hundreds of pinball machines. You will get to know all kinds of things about designers, new machines, how to fix games, what to spend, how to sell and so on. You will get to know all kinds of people you would never have met otherwise. You will find players tournaments, clubs and different opinions on who has the best games. You will realize some folks have jobs where the do nothing but comment on everything all day and night, "cough, cough boob, cough" .Some people may get under your skin a bit but take them with a grain of salt, its only pinball after all. Enjoy and welcome.

Watch out for that kramer guy...he's a real loose cannon...

Welcome to Pinside! It works like a lot of other forums. All sorts of people gather to discuss anything pinball, and other stuff too.
People tend to take jabs at each other; most of the time it's in good fun, but some of the time it can get ugly. There's a marketplace to buy/sell/trade, Game Clubs to join, post up questions, help others out, discuss events in pinball, etc. Explore! Have fun! and try not to take anything too seriously! And Don't Get Scammed!

When ever finishing a post, end it with with the word, Lionman! (In all caps)

(editorial comment: meant as a joke!)

Why would you say that? Is it because Rafeal is spelled Rafael 99.9% of the time?
