I was fortunate to have been able to pick up a Monster Bash SE - but I really wanted a topper. I just didn't like the ones out there - and the monster that folks add to the top (the Halloween ones) just seem a little too big for me.
Anyway - all in this cost me about $38 bucks.
I found the high res art on line, and Vista Print resized it and edited it to my request for $5 bucks. I then ordered an 11 x 17" printed on high quality foam core - and that shipped was only $19 which I thought came out great. Their foam core has a nice plastic coating on both sides it's super sturdy. I picked up a small set of TV led RGB strips (aka they're meant to attach to the back of your TV) for $17 on Amazon.
I cut it out using an X-Acto knife, and I discovered that one of my extra DMD glare guards would work great as a base and used the lip to direct the LED lighting to the logo. I'm just running a power cord to behind the machine to light the topper.
I have it currently set on slow fade.
I thought it came out pretty cool.
