I was fortunate to have been able to pick up a Monster Bash SE - but I really wanted a topper. I just didn't like the ones out there - and the monster that folks add to the top (the Halloween ones) just seem a little too big for me.

Anyway - all in this cost me about $38 bucks.

I found the high res art on line, and Vista Print resized it and edited it to my request for $5 bucks. I then ordered an 11 x 17" printed on high quality foam core - and that shipped was only $19 which I thought came out great. Their foam core has a nice plastic coating on both sides it's super sturdy. I picked up a small set of TV led RGB strips (aka they're meant to attach to the back of your TV) for $17 on Amazon.

I cut it out using an X-Acto knife, and I discovered that one of my extra DMD glare guards would work great as a base and used the lip to direct the LED lighting to the logo. I'm just running a power cord to behind the machine to light the topper.

I have it currently set on slow fade.

I thought it came out pretty cool.

Nice you did something I would never thought of. Wild smart

I love home brew projects like this. Great forethought. Only thing that’s weird to me is it already says “Monster Bash” on the upper left of the translite.

I would do one of the CD and the monsters..... if I liked toppers. Great job!!!

I started with the CD idea- but the art I found on line was too low res-- and it wouldn't look right at the size I wanted, but good suggestion.

I was thinking of adding a "wall" of reclaimed wood behind the words to look more like the side of the cabinet...but was thinking that may be overkill....the simplicity of the name cut out was kinda' cool.

I just did this for fun when I stumbled across the high res art

This is just temporary - until I can find a better one. The machine looked so empty compared to my others with some pretty cool toppers like Ghost Busters.

I'm sure I can sell it for $10,000 by Christmas!

Wow! Very nice! Have you made the molds yourself or where can one buy such nice figurines?

This is the perfect topper for those that picked up the custom translite art from Back Alley Creations at TPF or online. It is only missing the game name on it. In fact, I'm going to PM you and ask for the art file, if you have it.

The figures are store bought, eBay/amazon. They are pretty expensive nowadays but you can still find them at vintage toy shops. the instruments were sourced from various places online or built by me. I also designed and 3D printed the skull amplifiers; that’s been by far the most work.
