From what I can remember 2001 top 5.
    Mad Max
    Battle Star Galactica
    Die Hard
    Caddy Shack
    Rambo.

Wonder how those would have worked out then and now.

The only one I can see still working is Mad Max - no Mel really needed for the theme to work but the sound track is a must.

Can you imagine the designer coming up with the shot map for this game, and and what type of finishing move there will be in wizard mode.

Give me an all-girl band. Something to sit next to The Beatles pin.

    Give me the Go-Go's.

Five good looking girls up on the back box.

    Good pinball playing music.

They have sold millions of records.

    Wrote their own songs.

And 40 years later they are still doing some limited touring.

I'm sure that's what prompted the suggestion and I second this, it's a great documentary and it's awesome to see them back together. Vacation multiball!

No, actually, while I was surfing around with ROKU I stumbled onto Vevo which had concert from the 1980s of the Go Go's. I have always liked their music.

Thanks for the 2nd. For a pin, they are family friendly, looked good in their prime, and have a music catalog to pick from.

    O-din The Pin!

    #213 3 years ago

if pinball is supposed to be 'fun', how did we end up with a bunch of 'rock' band pins instead of a bunch of 'fun' band pins ?

the go gos, b52s, oingo boingo, blondie, the cars, madness, devo, aha, the bangles, pat benatar, duran duran, talking heads, pet shop boys, berlin, human league, village people, stray cats, zz top, so many more... plus a boatload of one hit wonders.

nostalgic, fun, and lots of female lead singers.
an 80s new wave/dance jukebox would definitely make for a different music pin.

but what do all the people know ?

    house of 'fun' : madness

    #214 3 years ago
    Quoted from CLEllison:

I'm thinking about family friendly titles here:
    Hannah Barbara - Laugh Olympics.
Classic Arcade themed pin - feature all the great classic icons.

Hannah Barbara would be great, so many options and characters. I would be happy if they just made it based on one! Wacky Races anyone?

I grew up in the 80's and love the 80's pop but its not good pinball music. Maybe ZZtop, but even that.
    Motorhead

    #220 3 years ago

ZZ Top would be great. How about Beastie Boys?

    Quoted from Hazoff:

I bet ya he wanted ridiculous money for his image. Its become common knowledge that he is a big time douche bag.

When Die Hard came out Bruce was not an A list actor. I watched a documentary on it, and the producers took a big risk on him that ultimately was a home run. That would have been the time. You could also have had Severus Snape as the bad guy.
Edit: maybe it wasn't Snape, but reminds me of him.

    #223 3 years ago

    I want a Natty pin.

    Add your own sounds.
    You said you'd do anything.

    #232 3 years ago

A theme based on the music industry and what it takes to make it to the top - but it would be built to allow you to load your own favorite group songs to replace all of the audio.

    #233 3 years ago

I would love it, lots of possibilities, but the general public never really bought in to Elfman's dark goofiness.

Yeah! Just the album Fear of Music has enough material!

This would kick ass, a la AC/DC but with an all-American flavor!

    #234 3 years ago

Bugs Bunny and Looney Tunes - with an adult mode (machine with good layout this time please)

    Mad Magazine

    CFBL remake

    #236 3 years ago

Escape from New York.... The Duke of New York wizzard mode, Maggie multiball, cabbie hurry up, Pliskin pinball, spell SNAKE, the brain ball saver. Practically makes its self.

    #237 3 years ago

Get Smart? Goodness that would be a fun machine.

    Mission Impossible.

The Goodies (are North Americans aware of this show?)

Am I the only one wishing for a Japanese anime table? Even better if it has giant robots?
Mazinger, Gundam... EvenTransformers og cartoon or DragonBall.
Mario and Street Fighter need a modern lcd version.

Maybe a conversion kit to turn it into an “Emergency!” would be a nice add-on.

Quoted from GTO: Phantasm - could do some pretty cool animations with the metal balls. I could see the animation with the Tall Man releasing the balls out of his hand for multiball[quoted image]

this would be such an awesome theme. The license can't cost too much, while Angus has passed on you can still get reggie banister to do call outs... I try not to think about all the possibilities b/c if certain companies get the license it will be poorly executed won't mention names

    #244 3 years ago

this... Return of the Living Dead is my favorite horror movie and would make a great pinball machine if done properly.

That's pretty cool, i didn't know Marvel did comics with these classic Japanese robots. For me "shogun" was the generic term for those jumbo robot toys.
First one in your pics is Mazinger, 2nd one is a getter dragon, i forgot the names of the 2 other ones...
Just imagine the possibilities for the mechs, a topper etc.

Another Star Wars! None of the dozen made mount up to the quality of the movie.

You know for a fact it would need to have the barracuda somewhere on there.

    #248 3 years ago

How about a Hellraiser pinball machine? Have the puzzle box as a bash toy and every time you lock a ball it does some cool changes like in the movie. Include the Cenobites, chain-looking-ramps, hooks, etc.
