I love the LZ LE. That game is such a looker anyway with beautiful cab art. I’m thinking about white powder for my GB. I’ve seen several white options and some purple and pink. Has anyone done a light blue that matches the artwork?

I’m really happy with the purple/blue sparkle for my DI. I was inspired by the CE Quantum Haze color and wanted something similar but different. Great job!

    #702 5 months ago

My GB is done in purple and I really like the look.

This color would look so good on a KISS Pro.

    Quoted from nocreditdot:

My GB Pro was mistakenly powder coated in (Prismatic) Lollypop Purple when I had request "Lollypop Grape." The purple doesn't look bad but the Lollypop grape is somewhere between purple and pink and I believe it would have been a better choice.

For the record, my GB is the ONLY one of my pins that Steve didn't powder coat for me. Steve does AMAZING work with a reasonable price and excellent turn around time. Steve would not have made the mistake of powder coating the wrong color (I even provided the person who did the powder coating with the correct product number, just to ensure getting the right color and the person still powder coated the wrong color).

I can't say enough good things about Steve's work as he consistently exceeds my expectations.

Now, color is a matter of personal taste. I'm personally not crazy about the white GB's, but at least it is something different from all of the blue, green and red machines out there.

I have five Pinball Refinery Edition games now. I got the most recent two armor sets at TPF and finally had a chance to get it all installed and pictures taken. Made a video too. Steve does an awesome job!

Dollar green. I copied it from a guy who got the same in the Godzilla thread and added the T molding.

I'd say don't go darker because I took these pictures in a sunny room. It will be much darker when you turn out the lights to play.

That was the primary reason I ended up going with the brighter hammertone green that Steve suggested on mine. One, I liked the "texture" of the powdercoat, it fits with lizard scales, etc at least to my eyes/mind. I also wanted to run a lighter green t-molding and to be able to tell it was green in a darker room.

All that said, yours looks great in the light and at least in the photos it looks to be a great match for the t-molding you sourced!

I was very tempted to go nuts and get a textured green with UV reaction, but was talked out of if by my wife.

UV reactive would be very on-brand for Godzilla. Especially if you could wire up something that triggers the UV when the shaker starts flipping out.

What color is this from Pinkitten's DI game? Would it look good on ST-TNG?

It’s Chameleon Violet. I also considered Burple, which is darker and more blue.

    Absolutely. Probably tomorrow.

For those of you who have done this before am I going to regret not doing my coins door on my CCRSE?

Steve has my parts and will be doing my game in a dark gray almost black color exactly like he did for midcoastsurf (the Brad). He did not do his coin door and I think turned out well based on pics. Just wondering though is not doing the CD the right move.

See below for the final look of mid’s game

I personally like leaving the coin door black. Unless it's in bad shape. A nice new PC'd machine with a beat up coin door just looks bizarre. It's all personal preference of course but I like the contract a Black coin door gives especially against all the color variations on all the machines. I feel like it "grounds" the machine.

For me personally, unless an original black door already matches the overall powder coating color scheme, the game looks unfinished if the coin door isn't powder coated in harmony with the rails, lockdown bar, legs, etc.

    Wow...
That looks awesome! While the standard blue that's on my LE matches good, it has no pop to it and kinda looks dullish.

I am getting a GZ Premium and will eventually want to have Steve work his magic on it.

Is there any way to get all of this done - legs/LD bar/rails/speaker panel/hinges/shooter plate/coin door etc and keep the game playable?

I can put on spare legs I have not a big deal but I don't have any of the other items as spare parts. I know Steve has some things I can get from him.

Looking around the speaker panel and coin door are biggest issues I think. Speaker panel is pricey at $160 and so is a coin door. Naturally once I get my PC parts back I won't need the old speaker panel and coin door and of course not sure how much I would get in resale value. Loaner parts from someone would be great if that is possible.

Please share your ideas on this if you have any as we want the game to still be playable (and safely of course) while its getting dressed up. And yes I do know that Steve is very efficient in getting things back in a timely manner but the process does take a while.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you seen the camouflage BBH? It’s pretty incredible. It was for sale 2 or so years ago for $6k. I almost bought it. I owned BBH years ago, traded it for Aerosmith pro. It’s a very challenging game!

Thanks again Steve for your amazing work!!!
Actually, this is on my Godzilla Pro (not premium), and it was really hard to get good lighting down in my game room for pics with it being dim and some odd lighting down there.
But the bluish/purplish color looks amazing on this game. I opted to add some purple t-molding, which I think helps set everything off and goes nicely. As is said frequently on this thread, pictures don't do it justice for how stunning it looks in person!

Gypsy Tears for Stranger Things and Gojira over Ultra Illusion Green for Godzilla. As always, hard to get a good picture of these with this much metallic in the colors. Thanks Steve!
