Hello experts,
I have a hyperball which recently started having an issue where some of the playfield lights stay lit after about 15 seconds of powering it on. They don’t do it initially blink on and off in the attraction mode as they should. But over the course of 15 seconds you can see them sort of heat up and eventually stay lit all the time. I’ve checked all the connections and jiggle the wires and all that superficial stuff. I did have a fuse blow recently which made all of the PF lights go out.

Thanks in advance!

You're going to have to note which letter and which number of the lamp is locking on.
I'd be surprised if they were truly random. They will almost certainly be on the same row or lamp column.

You’re right. Looks like it row 7. Now what? What makes them stay on?

A shorted row drive transistor. Looks like Q21, which =may= be a TIP-102, but I can't seem to prove that in the schematics.
Pretty easy repair. Or you can send it out. I have a Hyperball and can repair and test the board.

TIP102 worked perfectly. Thank you again.
