Seriously. It's like a race to see who can find offense in a post first. It is a light hearted thread in the face adversity. Each person handles stress differently. The OP is clearly trying to find humor in his unfortunate situation. If his post is egregious to you, then the thought that people throw hurricane parties while riding out the storm surely would blow your mind. Lighten up Francis.
