Having trouble diagnosing two problems in a friend’s Hurricane. First is that the DMD is splotchy with a lot of the pixels missing during normal operation and in the test mode. While I was getting nominal power readings on the power cable plugged in to the DMD, I’ve replaced all the ribbon cables and rebuilt the high voltage section of the DMD controller board and replaced the two big capacitors. The second problem is the Ferris wheel won’t turn and it seems to be the motor assembly since it is getting 50 bolts at the little relay board under the playfield. I hear the motor running, but the wheel attached to it isn’t moving at all even when I remove the drive belt. Any ideas on things to start checking?

I was able to test the DMD in a friend's WWF Royal Rumble and other that some pixels at the top, the DMD worked great. I'm thinking the DMD power cable connector needs to be replaced, plus all the other IDC connectors going to the DMD controller board...

Got the Ferris wheel working by replacing the motor with a new one from Marcos Specialties.

Found out that the DMD is definitely outgassing as I bought a used DMD that worked fine.
