Looks great!! I like the colored GI lighting in the different areas of the playfield...I have hesitated doing this as I do not wish to disassemble the ramps/ect to get to all the bulbs. Not lazy, just hate to fix what isn't broken if you know what I mean. One day. FYI Rock Custom Pinball makes a very easy to install 4 color undercab lighting kit that I have installed on mine that I highly recommend.

Nice Club!
Just got my wire ramps powdercoated in 3 different colors. Apron guard in a 4th color. Hope to install today and will post pics.
Alex, almost no fade on that cabinet! Looks great. So many Hurricanes are faded.

Thanks bro! The cabinet was retouched/repainted a few years ago.

I just printed one out and covered in a piece of Mylar. There should be some scans out there

I have a Hurricane on order. Are you referring to the yellow/red bulls-eye decal? I have a Canon Pixma pro 100 that I got free with my DSLR camera. I've been playing around making all new sticker decals for all my machines. Just ran a set for my Comet and Cyclone. I just bought a Hurricane that is being sent to me from out of state. If it needs that same decal I can run a set and send you one. If it's the one like attached it would be very easy to convert it to yellow/red and print it out on sticker paper and put Mylar over it.

Is this game that unpopular with folks around here, or is everyone just too busy playing?

#22 5 years ago

I'm too busy playing. Picked one up a couple months ago. It was close by and in great condition. Already have a Comet and Cyclone and figured I might not have another chance for such nice one. Said what the heck and pulled the trigger. Turns out I'm enjoying the game a lot more than I thought I would. Kids love it too.

#23 5 years ago

Awesome, I am trying to bring the trilogy to my game room as well. Already have a Cyclone.

Cant wait to see finished Hurricane!

#27 5 years ago

My Hurricane prototype is done (the head of the coaster), just need to test print to see how it comes out, and I'll know that I'll have some difficult internal adjustments to make to illuminate properly.

I'm working on a Hurricane and noticed that the G.I.s don't dim. The G.I. control is only full on or off. Before I troubleshoot further, could someone with a working Hurricane confirm that in Test > General Illumination that the 5 G.I. circuits can be dimmed levels 1 thru 8? I know this is an early WPC game and I just want to make sure they actually dim on Hurricane.
Thanks for your time!

Okay on mine backbox string 1 nothing illuminates. However backbox string 2 & 3 both step thru all 8 dim levels. Both left and right playfield strings also work for all 8 dimness levels. Hope that helps.

Welcome to the club! I think I just have the standard instruction card but do have a custom info card. If you PM your email address I'll send it when I get home later.

There are a few around, but don’t know how good they are: http://www.pinballrebel.com/game/pins/instruction/

If you had acquired a Comet, I could have been of assistance: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/comet-any-fans-out-there/page/12#post-4815665

Had a great game yesterday. My high score was 72,000,000 ish...man I had several multiballs, clowntimes and scored the jackpot twice. What a rush!

That is insanity. It is really tough to get high scores on this game.

Quoted from alexmogil:

I agree, day before I could only manage 1.8 million, lol the game can really play brutal at times. I had been playing my EMs this weekend alot, maybe that helped me out as those ramps are twice as wide as an old standup target. I was in the zone, hitting everything I wanted easily and the out lanes left me alone. I usually have a hard time hitting the hurricane ramp consistently but was able to hold a multiball on the right and crank the 1-2-5 million shots with the left. Also after multiball I had the 12 seconds of 5x playfield and hit the
juggler for 3 million x5. I usually cave under the pressure, lol. Reminds me why I like this game, no deep code but a good 'target shooting' game.

#41 4 years ago

For me I think part of the difficulty is the Hurricane ramp blocks the view of the flipper tops a bit. I think I might play better if I duck down to my kids' height. Every so often I have a great game though, then I quickly go back to sucking.

#42 4 years ago

Its not a bad game. It wont be a keep for me but it was cheap so will clean it up, leds, new rubbers. Play it for a while then sell

I dont believe so

#45 4 years ago

They've got a couple plastics here, including the often broken dummy plastic (and they actually ship to Canada)...

Turned my hurricane on today and noticed the right side the GIs wont light up. Checked the fuses they are all fine.

Anyone got any ideas what could be wrong.

Check your GI connector on the main board. They have a tendency to burn.

Dang, I wish I had a Hurricane available here in AK. Would love to add it to my Comet and Cyclone to complete the trilogy.

Joined the club this past weekend. Been about 25 years since playing this game. Not overly complicated but still a ton of fun.
