I had a similar problem with NAVL a couple years back. That's why I *always* get the insurance when shipping via NAVL. Get your estimates (I provided two) in hand and send 'em over to Michelle. You'll have to fill out a couple pages of paperwork. Provide as many before and after photos as you can. Submit it all to NAVL and wait for your check. I got my requested refund paid in full in about 10 days. I'm not sure if I didn't have the insurance that I would have received the full amount, but there's at least one point of reference for you. Like you (I'm assuming) I would have rather had the game in pristine condition vs. receiving a check to cover the damages, but NAVL did try and make it 'right' for me.

Quoted from chrisjens2:

I'm sorry for your loss. It happens all the time with NAVL. They messed up one of mine a few years ago and refused to fix their damage. I even had the delivery driver write on the slip "pin damaged from rubbing on delivery truck wall screw"
They still refused to repair the damage, you're in for the following:
They will tell you they need to investigate the claim
They won't return your inquiries hoping you will go away
When you begin calling them you will eventually get ignored and be forced to leave messages which won't be returned.
Sorry again man, been there and it S-U-C-K-S

Hmm, that wasn't my experience at all. Did you pay for the added insurance when you shipped it?

Yes I did and I was dealing with Michelle as well.

Man that sucks. I'm sorry to hear that. Well one horror story and one good news story for you, OP. Best of luck to you. Let us know how it pans out.

Wow this thread is amazing on many levels. I'm not even gonna get into it right now, except click some thumbs up on some select sane posts and say...there is no way that damage happened in transit assuming legs were on and that pic was taken right after delivery. This coming from someone who has moved, shipped, received over 1000 pins in his life. Many of those were by STI/NAVL, and damage does happen and they pay out on reasonable claims. This is not one IMO and without before pics you can't prove your claim. Not saying this old lady you mention is a liar but perhaps she just didnt notice or care about the back artless corner of an old pinball machine.

Yup. My experience with NAVL has also been great. I'm more on the 'dozens' vs. 1000 level, but still been very positive.
