This is the original playfield from my 2004 LOTR, I am the only owner. I don’t know how many plays it has, but the pics show how nice it is. I never installed protectors of any kind, but the shooter lane and Gimli hole still look great. This would be a great playfield for making a routed LOTR look nicer. I left all the T-nuts in, and you won’t be doing any pre-drilling, so your swap will be much easier than mine was. I triple-waxed the playfield about every 500 plays, so the clearcoat is still in good shape.

PLEASE LOOK CLOSELY at the ring insert picture, as it shows why I bought a new playfield for $1500. I was cleaning the ring insert and it popped out. I put it back in and secured it with a circle of mylar. It’s one of those things that’s not obvious unless you’re looking right at it, but the clearcoat broke around the perimeter of the insert.

I’ll use the same wood shipping container my new playfield came in, so you won’t have to worry about shipping damage. I’ll ship using whatever carrier/method you want, just tell me the carrier and your ZIP for a shipping estimate, or you can email me a shipping label. I’ll pay for the insurance.
