Link to a good wiring diagram for pins and good reference material for speaker swaps~

Where you mount the "L" pad is personal preference. Some like it near the coin box where you can adjust it by opening the coin door. I prefer to mount it in the head box / upper right corner. HS2 has an aux board in the upper right so on mine I mounted it mid ship or a little lower. Once you have the balance adjusted I rarely touch the "L" pad again.

Beautiful restore - love that red cab interior. Thanks for providing such thorough documentation of the process! This gives me some great ideas for cabinet repairs.

Great job! I like the red cabinet bottom.

Which color did use for you powdercoating legs, doors, bolts, etc?

#57 9 years ago

Awesome post. What bondo was used?

#58 9 years ago

Thanks, for the powder coating it received a regular gloss black on everything except the coin door which got a semi-gloss...the Bondo was just the "All Purpose Putty" kind, not special there.

I've pretty much finished up the cab project for now...might clear coat the playfield someday, but got many other projects to get done before that happens. Here are some pics of the final touches:

GS1-59.jpgGS1-59.jpg
Received the silkscreen from Matt and everything went smoothly.

GS2-411.jpgGS2-411.jpg
Put on new labels from Guy, latches, made my own serial # labels, and installed new glides.

GS5-767.jpgGS5-767.jpg
New switch matrix paperwork and new sub set-up (via markmon's suggestions)

GS3-279.jpgGS3-279.jpg
Backbox all done with new paperwork, more of Guy's labels, and new Pyle speakers.

GS6-154.jpgGS6-154.jpg
Lastly a New Siren, like a final cherry on top...

Ready to play...next cab project that beat-up wh20 sitting near-by.

Beautiful work. I particularly like the black trims and the polished back box metal plate.
