My opto 81 and 85 are not working. I soldered on new optos on both and it didn't change anything. They were working few weeks ago. Where should I look to fix this problem? any help will be greatly appreciated. thank you

Broken wire on same row or column killing them.

For reference, opto 81 is the 1st of the 3 optos magnets and opto 85 is the made loop opto for the sc ramp.

I've checked the wire harness for continuity and they all check out fine. So I did the mpu testing following the instructions on pinwiki by testing j206 and J208 with jumpers and they all register on the switch edge test.

So is my next course of action running test on accelerator board and opto board? Or are there any other tests I should perform before running tests on opto and accelerator board? Can someone explain me the steps to do this? I couldn't find it on pinwiki as the opto board test they show is different.

Please bare with me as I'm still learning all this electrical and pinball repairing. Thanks and any help will be greatly appreciated

There’s a small opto board that controls these I believe? Did you check power to it?

I am going through the same problem the Opto 81-82-83 are open. By moving the plug I see the opto switches on and off. Some damn broken wire that I'll find it

Are the leds on the accelerator board supposed to be lit when working correctly?

Quoted from V4Vendetta:

The LEDs are usually off when they are lit.

I cut the opto wires from the plug and turned it on, worked fine.
I'll soon make a new connector.
