Just saw this post...hope it's fixed by now. If not, first I'd try reseating all the connectors and the socketed chips on the CPU and sound boards. Swapping power boards might be interesting (you never know), but if you're getting weird noises as well, I don't think it's the power board.
Post an update and I'll see if I can think of anything else...
