Need some help installing a new beacon in my High Speed. I bought the game knowing it was missing. The red dome is there, but the assembly was removed, along with associated fuse and relay. A plate was installed to cover the hole. And best part was they cut the wire harness out too. Right down to the wood lol.

I can’t seem to find the wiring diagram for the beacon. I did source the parts needed, but i could use some help connecting everything back.

I read through a thread of a high speed being completely rebuilt which was amazing. Part of the wiring was shown and I did see the comment that the schematics are wrong and if you follow them it won’t work properly.

Ive attached some pics. I believe the red wired taped together are supposed to go to the relay. But exactly how is my quandary.

Thx in advance for any help here.

Thank you. It kind of helps but i’m still having trouble with the red and white wires.

I separated the wires where they were cut and they are both in fact red/white and come from the harness originating from the bridges.

From the pigtail on the beacon assembly, one of the wire runs through the fuse block and then comes back together with the other and heads towards the relay. But the two other wires join there and i cant tell which is which anymore.

Also i notice that up too my res wires are both on the same terminal, and in your pic they are on separate ones. I’m assuming when mine was “modded” the two reds were joined together. Looks like those are for the knocker so prob nothing to do with my police light wiring.

As for the relay i can’t see what terminal each wire connects to. On the part i bought they are labelled 30, 85, 86, 87, 87a.

So either i just keep overlooking these details in my manual. or maybe there is another manual i dont have. My SOF has two separate books for example.

No, one red/white wire goes to the relay. The other red/white wire goes to the fuse.

Red/white wire from the bridge rectifier goes to the #30 terminal. Then another red/white wire goes from the #87 to the motor connector. Grey wire to the #86 terminal. Brown wire to the #85 terminal.

Also you have an F-14 motor, you will need to increase the fuse to a 2 amp slow blow.

Ok so the puzzle is starting to come together .

I assume it doesn't matter which red/white wires i pick to go where. What i mean is one red/white from BR can go to #30 term on relay and the other to the fuse. They are both the same power wise.

I bought this unit from Tilted Pinball assembled. But it’s no problem to use a bigger fuse. In fact i just stock hundreds of 20A slo blows and use them everywhere. Then i don’t have to try and read the nearly impossible to read fuse values ....

Correct.

Cheaper by the gross!

So i extended and hooked up all the wires. Fuse back in place. Relay up in the head. Just had to click the two red/white wires into a molex receptacle. But of course i have zero in stock

So i can’t test the police light But i did get two dead kickers working again with a little mpu repair. So wasnt a total loss tonight.

Will hopefully be uploading a pic of a spinning red light by the end of the week.

Sorry to hijack but my HS keeps blowing the beacon fuse. I assume using a 2A wont potentially damage the cpu board?

2 amp slow blow is fine.
