Got this from a mate the other day...looks cool when lit and want to get it up.

Looking to hang from the ceiling but how? Do I just get some chain, open up an end, use the loop to hook it in the holes?

Any suggestions to make sure it holds tight from those that have done this sort of thing before, cheers.

It should be on the wall?

    Why the ceiling?

Not hanging on the ceiling...hanging from the ceiling, against a wall...hope that clears it up, lol.

Good chain threaded Through hole will be fine. More importantly put good eye hooks into your ceiling joists/trusses etc. Dont rely on plaster fixing only.

    I think chain also, and........
    That is awesome!

Thanks guys, I thought chain as well. Definitely will look for studs in the ceiling...I'll be stuffed if this falls.

I would cut a thin piece of plywood smaller than the outer edges so its hidden, then screw the plywood into the studs wherever you want to mount it, then screw that Lego piece into it....unless you want it hanging vertical....go with the chains.

You want wire rope or aircraft cable.

I would thread eyebolts thru the hole in that mounting stud. Screw in eyebolts into the rafters. Then get the proper rated chain to hang it. Use small carabiners or screw gate locking hooks to connect the chains to the eyebolts such as the one below.
