I'm trying to rewire my power box so that the service outlet turns off when the game is powered off. There is a thread here (https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/tech-how-do-i-re-wire-this-fgy-service-outlet-to-turn-on-off-with-the-game#post-1125191) that discusses this and it references using a multi meter to find which one of the four wires (from the power switch) actually turns off the 120V from the power switch.

Does anybody know exactly how I would use my meter to find which one of the wires is turning off the 120V from the power switch. Thanks so much. I've posted a pic of the wire the other user identified below.

You shouldn't need to measure it with a meter; the ones that are turned off by the switch are the wires that go to the transformer.

Connect the black wire from the service outlet to the black wire that you marked #2.
