Before your ball, hold both flippers until you see the status update on the DMD. The callouts will cut way down.
I don't think so. He has to be silenced for every game.

There's no way to turn it off permanently, but if there were, how would you know to "Shoot the pyramid" the next time you played?

Really? Does this work for all Sys 3 games?
Shoot the strobing shot! I've never been that bothered by the callouts in this game. Either I have a high tolerance, or partially deaf. I can tell you that my 5 year old always tells me to "Shoot the ball carefully" or "enter the Sarcophagus", so it must be somewhat repetitive.
I do find myself responding on ocassion. I'll say something like "I'm trying!", "What do you think I'm doing?", or sometimes "There, you happy now?!"
I had to laugh when I read this thread. I haven't played SG in a while and had forgotten all about The Voice!
The Rocky pin I just picked up has a similar issue. It has an early (1982) synthesized voice that sounds an awful lot like that in Black Knight. It keeps repeating the round number ("Round Four," etc.). I have turned the volume way down so that it is not so obnoxious. Otherwise, the pin is fun, especially since it is so radically different from anything else I own.
