T2 with a lot of weird problems. I'm following the manual page 1-43 "factor settings restored" as my machine acts like it doesn't have batteries even though they are brand new. (picture attached of the voltage check instructions)

I'm attempting the voltage check at pins 26 and 28 on U8. I want to make sure that I run this to a system ground, or is there another ground or negative on the board to use.

New to this kind of testing... thanks for your info and any thoughts you have on this problem.

DMM set to DC Volts, Negative (black) lead of probe to any suitable ground on the board, such as pin 1 of J210

Do a visual on the battery holder. The terminals may be erroded away from previous acid damage. New batteries will then have no connection.

There was some corrosion on one battery terminal. Seems to have fixed it.

That was stupidly easy.

Gun problem went away too.
