The problem is that useless posts are allowed to fester and poison the atmosphere. Troll posts should be deleted as soon as possible and offenders should be immediately banned for 12-24 hours. If someone gets banned three times in a week, they obviously haven't learned their lesson and should be kicked for weeks or months.
