Howdy-
I have a possible out-of-state buyer for my populated Revenge From Mars RFM playfield. It's in good condition & works great, so I do want to take care when shipping it.
Normally, I'd fabricate a crate myself, but I'm busy with a baby & more, so I'm looking for a less time-consuming alternative.
1 - I assume I should go with a crate vs. a cardboard box or nested boxes?
2 - Can I just contact any old local crating company?
3 - Are there good one-stop shops that will crate & ship all in one fell swoop?
4 - What's the typical cost for crating & shipping? I'm in California, the buyer is in Michigan.
5 - I envision wrapping the PF in light plastic or a few garbage bags to keep it clean, then making a crate & using clamps to hold the underside rails to the floor of the crate. Clamps like the ones used to affix plumbing pipe to a wall.
Any advice/anecdotes/vendor recommendations/etc. appreciated!
Thanks,
-Jason
