I've got some never-will-be-reproduced plastics that are flaking. What is the best way to seal them? In the mean time I'm also going to try to scan them before they get too far gone to be able to try to repro myself. Does this look like a triple thick operation?

Plastics are from a Coffee-Mat #Space Battle. Documentation thread will be done at some point.

I've used Triple Thick on backglasses with success so I don't see why it wouldn't have the same success rate on the plastics. I know triple thick works fine on plastic as a material, but I have not actually used it on pinball plastics. I don't see any harm in giving it a shot.

Playfield plastics flex, blackglasses don't. I wouldn't recommend triple thick for plastics. It isn't a flexible material after it cures.

I've used mylar before to protect plastics that had damage from rubbing on parts.

You might want to scan the plastics before they get worse in case you need to remake them later.

Good point! Wasn't thinking of the flexing aspect.

it does have some flex to it though if you put it on thin enough. you should be ok, if you do 1 light coat.
