Even on early code the points are in completing songs and getting the play field multipliers. Then get Demon multi with that running. Hit the scoop when lit and get awards such as super ramps. Deuce and Lick it up are usually the easiest to complete so start with those.
Perhaps if you show the owner that the updated code is from Stern and RECOMMENDED by Stern to load on the game he may be more inclined to allow it.
