My EBD needs some help & I need some advice.

The top, right side & bottom piece needs to be attached. Do I just use nails?

Also... I plan do get a stencil kit from Pinball Pimp but the cabinet needs alot of work before I order the kit... do I basically sand all the paint off... fill bad spots with a certain body putty & sand?

Thanks for any & all advice!

I have redone 2 games so far so it looks like you have your work cut out for ya.

I just basically gutted the cabinets sanded everything down to bare wood, filled all the bad spots, primed everything, resanded and then painted using Pinball Pimp stencils.

Here is links to what I did:

Hope that helps

To piggy back off of timab2000 here is a link to read through to help understand paint. If you rattle can, make sure you do it in light layers and take your time. Don’t hurry and spray a ton at once, and make sure you sand and primer properly. Good luck with your game.

Thanks guys!! Now I really think I can handle this.

Timab2000... thanks for posting your info. I really appreciate it. Have you needed to nail any pieces of the backbox back on? How did you go about it?

I see that it looks like the factory used nails in your pictures.

I have not had to renail anything on my games, but if I did, I would if, I had the old trim pieces, pull the old nails and then try to line the pieces back up and re nail into place. Maybe put a little glue down just to be sure.

Not sure if I would use the old nail holes, maybe just to get everything lined up right. Better to do new ones and then fill the old ones in. Just my opinion. Good luck!

Use a quality wood glue and clamp overnight. No nails needed.
