I have a Data East VUK Assembly and I'm trying to change them out but I have no idea how to remove or attach the ball popper cap. There are 3 metal compression rings that are fitted on the popper cap and I don't know how best to remove (or attach) these rings. Any help?
the new ball popper cap is quite a bit more contoured, it looks like it should work a lot better. I guess I'll try my best to pry them off.
Alright, I've got it figured out. Comparing the old vs. the new kit, the hole was quite a bit smaller on the new one for the pin to go in to. I drilled it out a little bit and used a pair of pliers to push it into place. I also had to stretch out the compression rings to get them onto the shaft, and then I kindof twisted and slid them into place.
Hopefully this takes care of the ball stuck in the super VUK problem I've had on my TFTC from time to time.
