hey all-

I've got the magnet mech out of the machine, and need to replace the magnet. I'm stuck on how the magnet is actually held in the bracket. it looks as if there is some sort of silver colored epoxy holding it in. has anyone removed it, and can maybe shed some light on the best way to get it off?

thanks!

Give the pinside people a lil while to get home and have dinner for goodness sakes.. Lemme rip mine apart really quick and see if I can help you out.

Google is your friend. But so is Pinside.

I bet someone used JB weld to keep it from coming loose. (Bad idea)
Only way to get it off is to pry and twist. If you have a new magnet don't worry about breaking the old one. Its just a plastic spool with wire on it. Just dont bend the metal bracket holding it.

Good luck

You just remove the magnet wire clip and it comes in and out, nothing else holds mine in. Someone may have glued yours?
