    Quoted from MaxIsDead:

I have a lord of the rings LE that is perfect, except for some tape residue on the side of the cabinet. Anyone know a safe way to clean this up and not make it worse?

    Rapid tac adhesive remover.

Works instantly will not hurt artwork.

After applying, Lightly rub off the glue with a rubber squeegee or spatula.

Thanks! I never heard of the stuff but I see it on Amazon. I will order some! Is this similar to Goo Gone?

Its a very fine citrus formula. Non toxic and a pleasant odor.

Professionals use it to remove 20 year old sun-baked mylar and vinyl wraps from cars.

It works incredibly well for tape glue and mylar residue.

Naptha or lighter fluid will probably also work for simple tape residue but I would test it in a hidden area to check for color fastness first..
