Hi guys/gals,

I need to completely detach a backbox from all boards and the main body for some sanding and painting. Never done this before and looking for tips on the most practical and efficient way to get this done.

I've attached a pic of the backbox. This is for a The Shadow

Appreciate the help and thanks for any tips that can keep me out of trouble.

Cheers,
Craig

Write on all connectors with a sharpie where you pulled them from. Remove boards. Find bolts behind the speakers on the 'floor' of the back box. Take them off and then lift it off! Good luck!

Thanks! Can you just remove the big silver/gray metal board from the back box that all of the boards are connected to?

I wouldn't write on the connectors, lol. A sharpie and some painters tape work just as well and aren't as permanent.

Yes the ground plane the boards are affixed to can be removed.

Hey! That's what Shaggy taught me on his dvds! Works fine. But I know what you mean.
