I have a 906 socket that doesn't work and I want to remove it from the plastic ramp. It is #41 on TZ. Can anybody provide advice?

It's not a quick job. Take out the ramp, desolder the wires, drill out the rivets, replace with this http://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/A-14265-13, re-rivet, re-solder, replace ramp.

Maybe move the wires first to a new socket, make sure that'll fix it? Drilling out rivets sucks...

Have you tried to bend the contacts in a bit so they make better contact on the bulb?

Removed ramp found disconnected red wire, going to re solder and put it all back together, thanks for the help all.

Nice! Almost always something like that with bulbs and switches .

    Quoted from GRUMPY:

That is usually only a temporary fix, unfortunately. The metal simply loses tension and doesn't press against the bulb tightly any more. Bending the tabs back into position will make contact with the bulb again, but since there's no tension, they will get loose again.
