It's been a while since we've had a team sports theme - the last might have been NBA around a decade ago. Seems to me this theme could be revitalized with a couple of innovations:

1) annual rosters updated with firmware
2) 'play the season' mode with accounts players can log in to from different route machines
3) both in-person, NBAFB-style connected head-to-head play and online head-to-head

Thoughts?

I don't think the head to head concept really works in pinball.

I have to agree somewhat, playing head to head is fun, but needing space for two machines and having to keep them at the same level of working order for fair competition can be a big challenge.

If it ain’t Huey Lewis themed, I ain’t interested.

Sadly if you want real sports teams i would GUESS you're no longer dealing with Iron Maiden type people/level of licensing.
Once you're dealing with billion dollar shiz it's gonna get rough.

I always wanted an NHL pin or someone can redo a World Cup soccer which is fun and simple

Baseball and pinball belong together. I think a modern baseball themed pin could be awesome.
