Hi everyone.

My flippers are too strong on my IJ pinball and I need to reduce the power of the coils.
The coils are 11629 and I want to reduce their power by 10 or 15% but I don't know what kind of resistance should I use to do that ?

How should I calcultate to find the correct resistance ?

Thanks

Use FL-11630 coils

That's a easier solution.
Ok I will try that.
I hope it will work because for the moment the ball flies off the left ramp all the time and she doesn't get stuck in the mission hole because she comes too fast.
Thank you

Is the playfield set for the proper angle/slope? Adjusting the rear leg levelers or front levelers will increase the degrees of playfield angle and will slow the ball when shot off the flippers and increase the ball speed to the flippers. Might be a free fix to the problem. The playfield must be level from side to side for good game play.

Yes it's actually 7° (even a little bit more) so normally that's enough.

according to Marcos the coil strengths are:
FL-11753 Yellow - Used with short flippers and close shots
FL-11722 Green - Used for close shots near drop targets
FL-11630 Red - The standard, most commonly used coil
FL-15411 Orange - Used for long playfield shots
FL-11629 Blue - Used for long shots and high ramps

So an orange or a red might be better for you

Technically 11629 is correct though, so make sure you leave those in the coin box if you ever sell it!

Use washers to drop the cup a bit more, it is a common issue and fix. For the ramp, do you have the plastic that goes over the 'u' part of the ramp? If it is missing I could see you having problems.

You need a lot of power in the left flipper to make the right ramp. The Mode hole has little or nothing to do with power. Need to modify to make the ball stick better. The left ramp on IJ is not too well designed. There is not a smooth transition to the wire form and the ball bounces off a lot - especially after waxing the playfield. With a washer or two and a little bending, the transition can be made a little smoother.

Thanks for your answers.
I have a unused 11630 coil so yesterday I tried to replace the right coil with the 11630.
It's better but sometimes the ball still flies off the ramp.
Yes I have the plastic over the "U".

John_I you're true : the transition between the 2 parts of the ramp is bad. But I don't understand where should I put the washers to made this transition a little smoother ? On the left slingshot where the wireform ramp is attached ?

For the Mode hole, OK I will try to drop the cup a little bit with washers. Thanks for the tip.
