In the head2head podcast interview this week he mentioned 6-8 weeks. Waiting on some parts to be delivered i think.

It'll be worth the wait, Ben. Your IM will have lit ramps, colour GI and two banks of drop targets, all in one kit.
That's awesome, bc I've been causally looking for drop banks & they seem hard to find
This is going to be a great little winter project. Can't wait!
Quoted from JDD:does any of this void the new stern Warranty policy? LOL
If you have to ask ...
Quoted from pcprogrammer:If you could do this in a stern star trek... omg that would be amazing!
What, like this?
Ever thought of making them for older Bally/Williams games TB?
But better you spend your time on Spike.
Quoted from TimeBandit:So, these posts were just waiting there under the plastic. Very interesting..
Is it the same behind the IRON targets? Another set of posts ready and waiting for rubbers?

Oops, there I go not being careful with how I say things. I don't mean that I will be supplying the actual target banks. Yes, those are the things that you will need to source. Your distributor should be able to get them if the retail parts guys are not holding stock. My distributor has 3-bank and 4-bank coming in for me, and 5-bank on back order from Stern.
I'm working on some ST gameplay, but it's a little more interesting to code as there are many times the inserts for the drops are used for artistic purposes. I just have to put a couple of layers of filtering in there to make sure I only regard the insert behaviour that includes real information about the status of the targets. Should be up in a few hours.

TimeBandit was gracious enough to allow me the opportunity to test out the drops in ACDC.
First off, I can’t believe he’s able to pull this stuff off. Total Lightshow combined with mods like this means he’s in a pinball class all by himself. All credit and props to him!
The kit came with all the wires needed. I had already ordered the 3 bank drop target assembly and Stern 50V thingy. You’ll need a few extra screws and an IDC tool.
I snipped the standup targets after labeling with some painters tape. The drop target assembly fit perfectly, though I was careful to line everything up and make sure the drops worked. I used the extra TNT target stickers that came with the game.
I routed the wires to the backbox Total Lightshow board. No problems there. You’ll need the IDC tool to attach the wires to the Stern board.
Once everything was connected, I disconnected the wires to the drop assembly to update the code.
I powered on the game and nothing exploded. Once the code was updated, I powered off and reconnected everything to the assembly.
I powered on again and tried it out. The drops worked perfectly! Once they were all hit, they reset normally. I tried TNT and that worked great as well. There were a few resets, and TimeBandit mentioned he was refining the code.
I powered off and installed the new rubber. TimeBandit recommended a 2 3/4, but all I had was a 2 1/2. That fit fine.
Skill level: Definitely do-able if you’re comfortable rebuilding flippers or other light mechanical work. TimeBandit made everything pretty straightforward. I took my time, and it was under 2 hours total.
Highly recommended! With the swinging bell and drop targets, I couldn’t be happier with ACDC Pro.

I've decided to include a power tap board to go into J10. There's no consistency across machines as to whether a 50V pin is available, and it will save people from having to do any pushing in.
I guess once I do that I might as well call it a knocker kit as well.

Knocker kit!

Between the Eli ramp lighting kit, the apron double scoring flashers, and now the drop target mod, you can really make a Tron Promium.
Half way there. Mounting a bank for the first time involves working out how to reroute existing cables and making sure everything fits.
I am using a version of my drop connect board here that will accept up to a 5 target bank. This is instead of plugging directly into the PCB on the assembly. It's actually useful in this case for another reason..the assembly sits close to the outside edge of the playfield, and a board plugged into the back may be too close to the cabinet.
The generic 4 target assembly fits nicely, but doesn't have the extended bracket that comes out past the edge of the insert cutout, so at the moment only two screws are holding the assembly in place, plus a couple of the lamp holders that screw back in over the edge of the bracket, but they aren't a long term structural solution. I am thinking a very simple steel strip across the centre of the bracket and screwing in at either end of the assembly will work nicely.
Anyway, all mounted for now. Just going to get the wiring finished and get the code going. Should be operating by tonight sometime my time.
To get started, just unscrew absolutely everything in the naighborhood of the target cutout. It takes just a few minutes and gives you plenty of room to move. Snip as many local cable ties as you can. These are trivial to refit, and you want to provide as much give in the harness as possible while you are moving things around.

Half.. The top one is there. Will have to do some rearranging for the bottom.

Tron fully operational. Some gameplay footage. Including the bank shot off the drops into Gem, which, believe it or not, is not an uncommon shot. You do not lose the bank shot with stand ups gone.
It is a thing of beauty.

And here it is in all its glory. Both drop target banks functioning. A few bugs to fix in the code, but enough for one day! You’ll notice in the code that the main priority of a target being up when required to be hit is being met. Note the proper resets when the cannon is loaded. I just have to tweak things to make sure they stay down when they should, although that doesn’t affect gameplay in any way.
Quoted from Mudflaps:Awesome! How many additional parts are needed in addition to the 3-target bank?
There are two coils on the 5 bank, so two 50V step up boards and two lots of my cabling. This means, though, that you need a way of getting three 50v sources if you install the 5 bank AND the TNT bank. You can either use a splitter, or the good news is I have made up a 50V tap to go on J10, which will give you both pin8 and pin9 for two 50V sources. (Arrgh, I should’ve paralleled another plug off pin8. Maybe I can change the Gerbers before they run the boards).
I realise I have no photo of the step ups installed. I will do that in the morning.
The install is really just the same again as the TNT bank. Plus two posts for the rubber. I used the outlane posts for now as I didn’t have any spare on hand.
I'm probably the only one that owns the game but would love to add drops to my Avengers Pro for the Thor targets. Guess coding that without an AV may be a challenge.
Quoted from Mitch:Do you think this would work on the green goblin targets on Spider man?
Yes. I may have to buy my third SM.
Quoted from 85vett:I'm probably the only one that owns the game but would love to add drops to my Avengers Pro for the Thor targets. Guess coding that without an AV may be a challenge.
No problem coding it without a machine. I can do it from video clips. Your only issue with a game that doesn't currently have a Total Lightshow kit designed for it is the expense. You would be buying the main board just to drive the drops, and not diluting its cost over other functions.
..Which I would thoroughly recommend for Spider Man.

Any hope for TLS for Kiss?
Quoted from Mudflaps:Any hope for TLS for Kiss?
No hope. Hopeless. All hope is lost. No spike.
Quoted from TimeBandit:Yes. I may have to buy my third SM.
Seems like it would be tough when the lit Goblin targets cycle up & down the bank. Reset drops after every hit?
Such a great idea, I've always liked drop targets over stand up targets. So much more rewarding when hit..
Quoted from yancy:Seems like it would be tough when the lit Goblin targets cycle up & down the bank. Reset drops after every hit?
I just thought of this today.
