I have plunged GEM a few times. I need to work on getting that down better

I agree with Legacy. If you focus on the shot, it seem very hard. When I am just playing I seem to hit it a good bit of the time.

I believe the back glass is the same on the LE and PRO.

There are many threads on lighting the ramps. The "closest" to the LE would be the project that ecurtz is working on I believe. (http://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/wthack-tron-pro-near-98501) There is no way to LE code on a PRO.
