I am getting closer to finding the pin that is right for me. I found some that are in Denver that are nice and have made contact with an individual on craigslist who sounds open to the posssibility of shipping. I did some research on the cost of freight. NAVL quoted $475 from Denver to Billings. There is a company in Billings called ABF. I am sure they are a regional freight company but they have terminals in Billings and Denver. Their quote was $230. That seems quite reasonable. Has anyone had any experience prepping pins for freight? Am I doing the right thing by going cheap? Does anyone have any other freight advise? Thanks for the help. I am a newbie looking for his first pin.

B_R is probably your man for info on prepping for shipping. He's done it right and had issues as well, he can probably tell you the do's and don'ts better than anyone.

    Quoted from love4movies:

I don't want to sound negative or anything like that and I know you want
a Pin but you need to be very careful when dealing on Craigslist.Craigslist
to me is all about local pickups and paying for a Pin then trying to have
them ship it to you is a scary feeling because there is no proof,You have
to know who your dealing with there's alot of scams on Craigslist.I just
don't like to see you or anyone get burned.Take care and Good Luck.

Take the Ball's out , Card-board Ever edge, Lay a Thick foam or a pack-n Blanket between the head and Glass, Shrink wrap the Pin with the Leg's on , Take the Leg's off , Lay Pin on Pallet , Shrink wrap More ( All Around, Secure the Pin to the Pallet, Wrap Each leg individual, Shrink wrap them , Secure them to the Pallet. Etc.... It's a Job.. I Don't mind do-n it for the Guy's Here, but deliver-n it Local or sell-n it Local and Having the Buyer come to yr Pad is Easier.. Good Luck !!!
