Check out the paint job of this guys cabinet.
I have seen this machine up close.
Even if it had the original Data East graphics on it, it's not worth $6999.99
Gotta love his caption "Most beautiful machine ever made"

I have no idea how they managed to make DV actually look like James Earl Jones on the back of the cab, but seeing that on those wheels makes me want to climb in and ride it down a hill.

#3 9 years ago

This has been commented on here before.
And it's just as bad as previously.
Yep, the seller is an idiot.
I love the fact that the paint job isn't even very well done.
Yikes!

I bet that guy writes some mean fan fiction

#5 9 years ago

It's not that bad, better than I could do!

I bet that guy has never seen a vagina in person

I think the art on that looks way better than stock.

#8 9 years ago

Here is an example of a different way to kill the value of a game. Turn it into a desk.

Yea I agree! Could have been a little better execution but I like it

That would be a pretty sweet soldering station

#11 9 years ago

This Star Wars pin was a 1970's custom van in a previous life.

#12 9 years ago

Put it n a truck with legs on head up and no straps approach 70 miles an hour and then hit the breaks. That ought to devalue it in a hurry.

I seem to recall a tv show that did a desk like that? Or is that your own creation?
Once I asked the EM crowd about turning a pin into a coffee table and I thought I was going to have to hire security because they were out raged by the thought!

front of cabinet art looks like its been drawn bye a 2 yr old with a texta

#15 9 years ago

Call me crazy but I like the artwork done on it.

#16 9 years ago

Looks fine to me....spruced up a crappy game nicely (well DV on the back is awful)

I liked it minus the front. I wonder if the guy had his kids do the very front. art wise it looks like it was done by another person. Cabinet art usually sucks so I am happy to see someone give it a go. Maybe, the cabinet was jacked up before they even got ahold of it.

#18 9 years ago

i like the art on the sides of the cab but DV on the back and the front of the cab looks bad.

#19 9 years ago

In the description it says "One side is Episode 1. One side is Empire Strikes Back." I was like WTF?, so I took another look at the pictures, and he meant to say "Episode 4", not "Episode 1". If they had custom painted it with Episode 1 art, now THAT would really kill the value. As it is I don't think it looks bad at all, but just not worth the big premium price.

Yeah, the back is not so hot, but who cares? That side will be facing the wall anyway. They probably thought it would look a lot cooler than it does, but oh well.

He's actually come down in price. Nobody biting at $9999 I'm afraid. We'll see what $6999 gets him.
I could fathom a guess...

I thought this thread was going to be about Rick haha.

Oh, and you have?

Did ya have to club them over the head to take a peek first?

#25 9 years ago
Quoted from RCA1:

Yep, the seller is an idiot.

Why is that?

#26 9 years ago

because He is paying storage on a bunch of games that never sell. He just realists in hopes that some one will buy them. This has be going on for over 6 months

#27 9 years ago

If it had a signed translite, I would think about shipping...

#28 9 years ago

It's DE Star Wars, so no real harm was done.

I like the concept (The red start button as R2-D2's eye is brilliant), but not the execution. If the art was done by someone with a bit more skill and did not have that clearly airbrushed concept. Its also plain to see that the cab is cracking and peeling in places, why not get a rebuilt cab if you want to do a custom paint job? Throw in a CC'd playfield and then maybe...but even then not 7k

I agree, good design - poorly done.

He's back.
I guess since it failed to sell for $7k, he is going to try again (and again and again).

Han Solo, played by Erik Estrada.

#37 9 years ago

Months and months ago, he listed it for $9k. Maybe just needed money to work on the van.

#38 9 years ago

Price has dropped. $3999 opening bid. Get it while you still can
