Ours has come off now twice in the two months that we've owned it. Have tried hot glue as well as a blue dot. How is everyone else keeping their coil mod attached to Sparky's helmet so that it will not come off? Thanks for your help! Brian

Be interested in hearing a solution as well. Mine has lifted and shy of glueing it down not sure what to do.

I just used some 3M double sided tape. Clean the helmet and inside of the cup with some isopropyl alcohol first, apply the tape and it should be good! I also suggest stretching the coil wire a bit so there isn't tension on it. That usually is the reason why the helmet falls/gets pulled off.

3m two sided mounting tape, for mounting address #'s outside on your house. Check local hardware stores. Downside...it'll never come off. Also used this for mounting some topper pieces and some items on playfield( Merlin with color changing ball on MM gate for example...(...someone beat me! Yes, it works..

Thanks guys. Nice tips, will clean down then stretch then tape!

Didn't think of stretching it out slightly, great idea.

I'm glad this post came up. My cap has been on/off for months. I'll try some new double sided tape.

I used hot glue and never had an issue.....but, I sanded the top of his helmet a tiny bit to give it some more grip as well. Also, the wires on mine have a support on the back panel as well so that the head and cap aren't structurally having to keep the wires in place as much and there is plenty of slack. That might be assisting as well.

I don't know which one you bought, but I recommend hot glue. Mine has been on since the day I put it on.

The only other option is hot glue for me too. Doesn't seem to matter on the strength of double sided tape for me

Good tip on the sanding part Frax.
